Getting Started with the NanoFoamer
A friendly and easy-to-understand guide to get you started with your NanoFoamer V2 or NanoFoamer Lithium.

Welcome to Your NanoFoamer Experience!

Congratulations on your new NanoFoamer V2 or NanoFoamer Lithium! This quick start guide will help you get the most out of your device, ensuring you create the perfect microfoam for your coffee drinks.

Getting Started

Charge Up: If you have the NanoFoamer Lithium, make sure to fully charge it before your first use. For the NanoFoamer V2, use high-quality batteries for the best performance. Avoid supermarket brands as they may not provide sufficient power.

Aeration and Churning

Aeration: Start by placing the impeller just below the milk surface. Aerate for 3-10 seconds for a flat white or up to 20 seconds for a cappuccino. Listen for the gushing sound indicating bubble creation.

Transitioning: Slowly move the impeller off-center to maintain a strong vortex. This step requires a steady hand and patience.

Churning: Keep the impeller low in the milk, maintaining the vortex. This ensures the milk is fully churned into microfoam.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use a narrow jug for better control.

  • Keep a steady hand and make small movements.

  • Don’t use cold milk for latte art; it will be too dense.

  • Practice with soap and water to save milk.

Prepare Your Milk

Milk Quantity: Start with enough milk in your jug to submerge the impeller completely. Aim for at least 3.8cm (1.5 inches) of milk depth. This helps create a good vortex and prevents large bubbles.

Heating: Warm your milk to 55-65°C (130-160°F) using a stove. Avoid overheating as it can break down milk proteins and affect sweetness. The FlowTip jug is perfect for this task and works on both electric and gas stoves.

Choose Your NanoScreen

Begin with the fine NanoScreen for easier results. Once you’re comfortable, you can experiment with the superfine screen for different textures.

Practice Makes Perfect

Before using milk, practice with cold water and a drop of dish soap. This mimics the texture of microfoamed milk and helps you perfect your technique without waste.
