Does it work with cold milk?

Does it work with cold milk? Or cold plant based milk?

Dairy Milk

Yes, it works but when the milk is cold, the proteins behave differently and the milk feels more dense. The end result is nice foamy summer drink but not ideal for pouring latte art. Latte art is not typically poured over ice anyway so that's not really an issue.

Plant Based Milks

Yes, cold milk alternatives foam up really well, the result is almost identical to foaming hot drinks.
